RESOLUTION NO. 6480
A RESOLUTION OF TITS CITY COU14CIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO
INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING
PROGRAM THE IMPROVEMENT OF IRVINE /TUSTIN AVENUES
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach desires to improve
Irvine /Tustin Avenues from 22nd Street to University Drive; and
WHEREAS, Irvine /Tustin Avenues are important arteries in
the County of Orange and of general County interest; and
WHEREAS, Article 2, Chapter 9, Division 2 of the Streets
and Highways Code authorizes a county, if it so desires,to expend
funds apportioned to it out of the California Highway Users Tax
Fund for aid to any city in the improvement, construction or repair
of a street within a city; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends to, by appro-
priate action, provide in the County budget of the Special Road
Improvement Fund for the Fiscal Year 1967 -1968 a sum of money for
the improvement of streets within the incorporated cities of the
County in accordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway
Financing Program;

the City of Newport Beach hereby requests
