RESOLUTION N0, 6584
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF
SUBSECTION A OF SECTION VI OF RESOLUTION NO.
5289 RELATING TO LONGEVITY VACATIONS
WHEREAS, Section VI of Resolution No. 5289 sets out
leaves of absence provisions; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that sub-
paragraph a of paragraph 1 of subsection A of said Section VI
relating to longevity vacations be amended;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that effective July 1,
1967, subparagraph a of paragraph 1 of subsection A of Section
VI of Resolution Noe 5289 is amended to read:

ive years o continuous service shall thereafter accrue
longevity vacations as follows:
(1) Full -time Probationary Regular, and Actin
�ntmentso An emp oyee having a probationary,
regular, or acting appointment that is on a full -
time basis, except Fire Department.personnel on
12 -hour shifts, shall accrue the following number
of working days vacation for each full month of
continuous service in which the employee has worked
or has been on authorized leave of absence with pay:
5 to 9 years service
10 to 14 years service
15 to 19 years service
20 or more years service

1 -1/3 working days per
month (16 days per year)
1 -1/2 working days per
month (18 days per year)
1 -2/3 working days per
month (20 days per year)

entitled to receive longevity vacations."
