Approximately $2!8 million is available to be awarded with this grant "Call for Projects." Staff plans to submit several applications under this Call for Projects that will be used to instatra`sh collecting devices and irrigation retrofits. Trash collecting devices such as Continuous Deflective Separation (CDS) units and trash and debris booms will capture and remove trash and debris from the storm drain system and the Bay. Irrigation retrofit projects will target various street medians (e.g. Jamboree Road. and San Joaquin,tHlls Road). For the Tier 2 grant program which isjected at larger and more regional projects, a total of $38.5 million is projected to be available over a two -year period beginning in FY12/13. Approximately $25 million is., to be awarded with this grant "Call for Projects."
