2'' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING AN INTERSECTION.AT
31 WHICH VEHICLES ARE REgUIEED TO STOP

51 WHEREAS, Section 12.36.010 of the Newport Beach Kunicipal
6( Code provides that whenever an ordinance or resolution designates
7i and describes an intersection at which vehicles are required to
8 stop at one or more entrances thereto, the City Traffic Engineer
9 shall erect stop signs at those entrances of such intersection
10 where a stop is required and every driver of a vehicle shall stop
11 at such intersection as required by the California Vehicle Code;
12 and
13 WHEREAS, the following described intersection, which is
14 an intersection of private roads in the Newport Center area of the
15 City, should be designated as an intersection where vehicles are
16 required to stop as hereinafter provided; and
17 wHMEAS, pursuant to the authority of Section 21107.5 of
18 the California Vehicle Code, the City Council adopted Resolution
19 No. 6631 on August 28, 1967, finding and declaring that said
20 private roads shall be subject to the traffic regulations contained
21 in the California Vehicle Code;
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
23 the City of Newport Beach that the intersection of Newport Center
2411 Drive East and Newport Center Drive west at Newport Center Drive
25 1 is hereby designated as an intersection where vehicles are requires
26 to stop at each entrance to Newport Center Drive.
27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the foregoing designation of
28 an intersection at which vehicles are required to stop shall con -
29 tinue to be applicable to said streets or portions thereof at and
30 after such time as the City formally accepts the same as public
31 streets.

requires vehicles traveling on Newport Center Drive and on the
driveway extending north therefrom to stop at the entrances to
Newport Center Drive East and Newport Center Drive West is
hereby removed.
