RESOLUTION NO. 6788
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE-CITY MANAGER TO
• ESTABLISH.FEES FOR CITY INSTRUCTIONAL AND SPECIAL
INTEREST RECREATION PROGRAMS
WHEREAS, the City Parks, Beaches and Recreation
Department carries on comprehensive instructional and special
interest recreation programs; and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City of establish fees
for such programs at a level which will make them financially self-
supporting; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to delegate
authority to establish such fees to the City Manager;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as followso
1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
establish fees for all City instructional and special interest
recreation programs based upon the recommendations of the Parks,
Beaches and Recreation Director and to periodically make such ad-
justments in said fees as are necessary or desirable.
2. The Parks, Beaches and Recreation Director shall pub-
lish a complete list of fees for City recreational programs each
quarter and an up -to -date fee schedule shall be kept on file and
available for public inspection in the Parks, Beaches and
Recreation office and the City Clerk's office.
3. A sum of money equivalent to 10% of the annual
revenues derived from the instructional classes in surfing shall
be set aside and used for the purpose of purchasing new or re-
placement surfboards.
4. A sum of money equivalent to 40% of the annual
revenues derived from the instructional classes in tennis shall
,. be set aside and used for the development of tennis courts.

filed and maintained in my office, the foregoing Resolution No. 6788 was
duly and regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said City Council
held at the regular meeting place thereof, on the 10th day of June 1968,
by the following vote, to wit:
