A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH COMMENDING THE HONORABLE
• ALTON ALLEN FOR HIS OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE
AS A SUPERVISOR OF ORANGE COUNTY
WHEREAS, Alton Allen has served the people of Orange
County for eight years as a member of the Board of Supervisors;
and
WHEREAS, during his term in office he has played a
prominent role in the development of the Dana Point Harbor and
has been a leader in the fight to achieve tax equity; and
WHEREAS, his advice and assistance has been invaluable
to the City officials of the City of Newport Beach in their
relationship with the County government;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH that the Council hereby commends
Alton Allen for his distinguished public service as a member
of the Board of Supervisors of Orange County.
ADOPTED this 23rd day of November 1970.
