A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A
GRANT DEED CONVEYING REAL PROPERTY TO THE
COUNTY OF ORANGE FOR USE AS A SITE FOR MUNICIPAL
COURT FACILITIES
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 7321 the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach authorized execution of an agreement
entitled "Agreement for Conveyance of Real Property ", to sell
certain real property to the County of Orange in connection with
the construction of municipal court facilities on the Civic
Center site; and
WHEREAS, the property to be conveyed in accordance
with toe terms of said agreement dated December 23, 1970, is
designated as Parcel G. A. 1223 -1, and legally described as
follows:
That certain land in the City of Newport Beach, County
of Orange, State of California, being.a portion of Parcel 1,
as shown on a map, recorded in Book 27, page 17 of Parcel
Maps, records of said Orange County, more particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northwesterly terminus of that certain
course in the southerly line of said Parcel 1 identified as
having a bearing and distance of "North 38° 44' 40" West
263.59 feet" as shown on said Parcel Map; thence North
58° 17' 58" West 51.00 feet along said southerly line to
the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continuing along said
southerly line the following courses: North 58° 17' 58"
West 176.70 feet; thence North 74° 30' 14" West 40.59 feet;
thence leaving said southerly line North 608.47 feet to a
point in the southerly right -of -way line of proposed Civic
Center Drive as shown on said Parcel Map; thence along
said southerly right -of -way line the following courses:
South 63° 59' 27" East 202.43 feet to the beginning of a
tangent curve concave northeasterly having a radius of
538.50 feet; thence southeasterly 220.95 feet along said
curve through a central angle of 23° 30' 33 "; thence South
87° 30' 00" East 41.95 feet; thence leaving said southerly
right -of -way line South 320.51 feet; thence South 45° 00' 00"
West 349.36 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
CONTAINING: 5.26 acres, more or less, net.

WHEREAS, a grant deed covering Parcel G.A. 1223 -1
has been prepared for execution on behalf of the City of Newport
Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute the grant deed covering said
Parcel G.A. 1223 -1 on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, in
accordance with the terms of said above- described agreement.
ADOPTED this 25th day of January, -1971.
