A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
A GRANT DEED CONVEYING PROPERTY LOCATED AT
BROOKHURST STREET AND ADAMS AVENUE
• WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 7361 dated January 25, 1971,
• the City Council of the City of Newport Beach declared certain
real property located at the intersection of Brookhurst Street

and Adams Avenue, in the City of Huntington Beach, legally described
as follows, to be surplus, authorized its sale and set out the
procedure for its sale:
and
The north 350.00 feet of the west 340.00 feet of
Section 8, Township 6 South, Range 10 West, in the
Rancho Las Bolsas, City of Huntington Beach, County of
Orange, State of California, as per map recorded in
Book 51, Page 14 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office
of the County Recorder of said County;
Subject to easements for street and highway purposes
over the northerly 50 feet and the westerly 60 feet;
WHEREAS, on April 2, 1971, bids to purchase said property
were received and opened by the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, after holding a public hearing at which all
bids were considered, the City Council has determined that the
highest bid therefor has been submitted by Downey Savings and
Loan Association , in the amount of $ 419,900 and that
said sum is fair and acceptable;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute a grant deed on behalf of the City of
Newport Beach, conveying said property to Downey Savings and
Loan Association in accordance with the terms and conditions

iset forth in said Resolution No. 7361.

ADOPTED this 12th day of April, 1971.
