RESOLUTION NO. 7 426
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH CHANGING THE NAME OF PALISADES
ROAD, BETWEEN NEWPORT FREEWAY AND MACARTHUR
BOULEVARD, TO "BRISTOL STREET"
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Newport
Beach has recommended to the City Council the changing of the name
of a portion of a certain street in the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, Section 34091.1 of the Government Code of the
State of California authorizes the legislative body to change the
name of any city street by adoption of a resolution; and
WHEREAS, after consideration of said recommendation it
appears that it would be in the interests of the City and con-
venient to the public to change the name of Palisades Road, between
Newport Freeway and MacArthur Boulevard, to "Bristol Street:, as
hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the name of that certain portion of
Palisades Road between Newport Freeway and MacArthur Boulevard, as
shown on the drawing designated "Proposed Street Name Change,
Palisades Road ", a copy of which is attached hereto, marked
"Exhibit "A ", and by this reference incorporated herein and made
a part hereof, be changed to "Bristol Street ".
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed
to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Board of
Supervisors of Orange County in accordance with the provisions of
Section 34092 of the Government Code.
ADOPTED this 17th day of May, 1971.
