RESOLUTION NO. 7 47 9
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AND DR. HARRY ALEKON, REGARDING OFF -SITE
PARKING, USE PERMIT 1476.
WHEREAS, Dr. Harry Alexon is the owner of that certain
real property located in the City 06f Newport Beach described as
100 Main Street, Balboa; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Alexon proposes to operate a restaurant
with a seating capacity for 81 persons on said property; and
WHEREAS, the Newport Beach Municipal Code will require
a total of 27 parking spaces be provided on site to accommodate
a seating capacity of 81 persons; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Alexon has arranged to lease certain
property located in the Ocean Front area of the Balboa Peninsula
adjoining the public parking lot, the Balboa Inn, and the former'
site of the Rendezvous Ballroom for the purpose of providing off -
site parking in connection with the proposed restaurant; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Newport
Beach on October 1, 1970, approved the petition of Dr. Harry
Alexon to operate a restaurant at 100 Main Street with a seating
capacity of 81 persons, whereby the number of code required on-
site parking spaces was waived provided that Dr. Harry Alexon
obtain sufficient off -site parking spaces pursuant to agreement
satisfactory to the City and approved by the City Council:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
approves said lease arrangement between Dr. Harry Alexon and the
owners of the property located in the Ocean Front area of the
Balboa Peninsula adjoining the public parking lot, the Balboa Inn,

and the former site of the Rendezvous Ballroom, whereby Dr. Harry
Alexon will provide 27 parking spaces
use of the proposed restaurant;
