RESOLUTION NO. 7509
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF
VEHICLES ON PORTIONS OF BIRCH, DOVE AND QUAIL
STREETS, AND CAMPUS DRIVE, FOR STREET SWEEPING
WHEREAS, Section 12.44.150 of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code provides that the City Council shall by resolution designate
streets or portions of streets on which the parking or standing
of vehicles is to be prohibited, and shall designate in the
resolution the days of the week and the exact hours during which
such prohibition shall be in effect; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is
reasonable and in the public interest to prohibit parking of
vehicles on portions of Birch Street, Campus Drive, Dove Street,
and Quail Street at certain hours on Saturdays for street sweeping;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that parking of vehicles shall be
prohibited on the following streets from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
on Saturdays to allow for street sweeping:
Birch Street - Palisades Road to MacArthur Boulevard
Campus Drive (east side) - Palisades Road to
MacArthur Boulevard
Dove Street - Campus Drive to Birch Street
Quail Street - Campus Drive to Birch Street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer
is authorized and directed to appropriately sign or mark said
areas to indicate such parking prohibitions.
