A RESOLUTION OF THE
OF NEWPORT BEACH AU'
ECONOMIC CONSULTANT
THE CITY OF NEWPORT
RESEARCH ASSOCIATES
GENERAL PLAN
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
CHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN
SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN
BEACH AND DEVELOPMENT
IN CONNECTION WITH THE
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it would be
desirable to develop the City's General Plan through a long -range
economic and housing market analysis, insuring that the General
Plan will be based on sound economic, financial and marketing
principles; and
WHEREAS, Development Research Associates is qualified to
undertake and complete such an analysis, and has offered to perform
such economic consultant services for the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to employ Development
Research Associates as such economic consultant;
NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach that Development Research Associates is hereby
appointed as economic consultant for the purpose of undertaking and
completing the economic analysis of the General Plan described above;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute an agreement between the City of Newport
Beach and Development Research Associates for the above economic
consultant services in an amount not to exceed $35,000.00 at such
time as the agreement is approved by the City Attorney as to form
and the Community Development Director as to scope of services and
sufficiency.
