A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING AN INTERSECTION
AT WHICH VEHICLES ARE REQUIRED TO YIELD RIGHT -
OF -WAY AND DIRECTING THE TRAFFIC ENGINEER TO
ERECT NECESSARY YIELD SIGN
WHEREAS, Section 12.36.020 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that whenever an ordinance or resolution
designates and describes an intersection at which vehicles are
required to yield the right -of -way at one or more entrances
thereto, the City Traffic Engineer shall erect yield signs at
those entrances of such intersection where required, and every
driver of a vehicle shall yield the right -of -way at such
intersection; and
WHEREAS, a certain intersection should be designated
as an intersection where vehicles are required to yield the
right -of -way at one or more entrances thereto, as hereinafter
provided;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the following described location
is hereby designated as an intersection at which vehicles are
required to yield the right -of -way, and the City Traffic Engineer
is hereby directed to erect and maintain a yield sign at said
location:
Northbound traffic on Newport Hills Drive West
to YIELD right -of -way before entering or
crossing Newport Hills Drive West -Port Seabourne
Way.
