A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
• OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A
QUITCLAIM DEED TO BEACH PROPERTIES, INC., FOR
INGRESS AND EGRESS EASEMENT

WHEREAS, Beach Properties, Inc., has granted an easement
to the City of Newport Beach over Lot 4, Block 14, Balboa Tract;
and
WHEREAS, said easement was granted for the purpose
of providing vehicular access to Lots 5, 6, 18, 19, 20 and the
easterly 15 feet of Lot 17 in Block 14 of said Balboa Tract in
the event an alley was never constructed between Ocean Front and
Balboa Boulevard, from "A" Street to "B" Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of November 22,
1971, adopted Resolution No. 7559 ordering the vacation and
abandonment of the northerly 10 feet of Ocean Front adjacent to
Lots 15 through 20, thereby clearing the way for the alley
construction between "A" and "B" Streets; and
WHEREAS, said alley will provide a satisfactory
substitute means of access to Lots 5, 6, 18, 19, 20 and the
easterly 15 feet of Lot 17, and therefore the easement of access
over Lot 4 is no longer necessary;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the Mayor and the City Clerk
be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute a quitclaim
deed releasing to Beach Properties, Inc., any interest the City
may have in the existing ingress and egress easement over the
real property situated in the City of Newport Beach, County of

Orange, State of California, described as follows:
The westerly 20 feet of Lot 4, Block 14, Balboa
Tract, as per map recorded in Book 4, page 11 of
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County.
