RESOLUTION NO. 7 78 F
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH PROMOTING THE WELL-
BEING OF THE HANDICAPPED
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach, as a matter of
policy, participates in the well -being of the handicapped;
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach wishes to urge the
establishment of a county committee composed of each individual
city to bring resources, develop cooperation between agencies
and provide information concerning the handicapped to the public
and potential employer; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County League of Cities is a proper
agency to coordinate the aforementioned activities by a committee
consisting of representatives from each Orange County city.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Newport
Beach requests the Orange County League of Cities to establish
and coordinate a committee of representatives from each city to
bring the resources, develop cooperation between agencies and
provide information concerning the handicapped to the public and
potential employer,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution
be sent to the other Orange County cities and the Orange County
League of Cities.
