RESOLUTION NO. T 81 1
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH CHANGING THE NAME OF A
PORTION OF BAYSIDE DRIVE TO HARBOR ISLAND
DRIVE
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of
Newport Beach has recommended to the City Council the changing
of the name of a portion of a certain street in the City of
Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, Section 34091.1 of the Government Code of
the State of California authorizes the legislative body to
change the name of any city street by ddoption of a resolution;
and
WHEREAS, after consideration of said recommendation
it appears that it would be in the interests of the City and
convenient to the public to change the name of Bayside Drive
from a point 300 feet south of Linda Isle Drive to the Balboa
Yacht Basin to "Harbor Island Drive" as hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the name of that certain por-
tion of Bayside Drive from a point 300 feet south of Linda Isle
Drive to the Balboa Yacht Basin, as shown on the drawing desig-
nated " Bayside Drive Street Name Change ", a copy of which is
attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A ", and by this reference
incorporated herein and made a part hereof, be changed to "Harbor
Island Drive."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed
to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Board of
Supervisors of Orange County in accordance with the provisions
of Section 34092 of the Government Code.
