RESOLUTION NO. 7956
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING RESOLU-
TIONS NOS. 7218 AND 7938 TO EFFECT CERTAIN
CHANGES IN PARKING REGULATIONS AT THE 26TH
STREET PARKING LOT
WHEREAS, Chapter 12.44 of Title 12 of the Newport
Beach Municipal Code establishes on- street parking meter zones
and sets the fees for parking in such zones and provides that
the City Council may by resolution establish off - street parking
meter zones and set the fees for parking in such zones; and
WHEREAS, said Chapter further provides that the City
Council shall by resolution designate the denomination of coins
to be deposited in parking meters, the parking time allowed fol-
lowing such deposit, and the hours of the day, the days of the
week, and the weeks of the year during which deposits are re-
quired and the meters will be in operation; and
WHEREAS, off- street parking meter zones and regula-
tions for the operation of parking meters were established by
Resolution No. 7218;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED -by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach:
SECTION 1. Traffic and parking conditions require
that the following off-street parking meter zone designated.in
Section 2 be established, and that parking meters be installed
and maintained in said zone.
SECTION 2. The following off - street parking meter
zone is hereby established, to be added to those zones already
established by Resolution No. 7218:
Zone 19 The 26th Street Parking lot, located
between Balboa Boulevard and Newport
Boulevard south of 26th Street.
SECTION 3. Parking meters in Zone 19 shall be in
operation and the deposit of coins required from 6:00 a.m. to
6:00 p.m. on 6 -hour meters, seven days per week and each week
of the year.

SECTION 4. The fees for parking at parking meters in
Zone 19 when the parking meters are in operation are hereby es-
tablished at twenty -five cents per hour.
SECTION 5. The seasonal parking pass sold by the
City of Newport Beach shall not be honored in Zone 19.
SECTION 6. Resolution No. 7938 is hereby amended to
remove the 26th Street Parking Lot from the fee schedules as
established by said Resolution.
