NEWPORT BEACH MOTORCYCLE
WHEREAS, certain officers of the Newport Beach
Police Department attend motorcycle training classes conducted
by the State of California Department of Highway Patrol at the
California Highway Patrol Academy; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that, from time to time,
agreements be executed between the California Highway Patrol
and the City of Newport Beach to provide for this training; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
has determined that it is desirable that the Chief of Police of
the City of Newport Beach be authorized to execute such agree-
ments on behalf of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach hereby authorizes the Chief of
Police to execute agreements with the California Highway Patrol
for the training of Newport Beach Motorcycle Officers.
