RESOLUTION NO. 8265
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING REVISED FEES
PURSUANT TO SECTION 15.24.100 OF THE NEWPORT
BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO GRADING, AND
RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 5757
WHEREAS, Section 15.24.100 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides for permit fees for grading permits
and for structures in conjunction therewith to be established
by resolution; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 5757 established fees for the
proper administration of the provisions thereof; and
WHEREAS, it has been deemed necessary to amend said
fees to compensate for increasing administrative expenses.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach hereby resolves and orders that, pursuant to
said Section 15.24.100, as the same now reads or may hereafter
be amended, the following fees are hereby established:
Section 1. For grading permits and plan checking:
Grading Permit Fees
100 cubic yards or less
$ 25.00
101 to 1000 cubic yards ................. $ 25.00 for
the first 100 cubic yards plus
$9.00 for each additional 100 cubic
yards or fraction thereof
1001 to 10,000 cubic yards .............. $106.00 for
the first 1,000 cubic yards plus
$9.00 for each additional 1,000
cubic yards or fraction thereof
10,001 to 100,000 cubic yards........... $187.00 for
the first 10,000 cubic yards plus
$37.00 for each additional 10,000
cubic yards or fraction thereof
100,001 cubic yards or more ............. $520.00 for
the first 100,000 cubic yards plus
$20.00 for each additional 10,000
cubic yards or fraction thereof
Plan Checking Fees
50 cubic yards or less ..................

$6.00 for each additional 10,000
cubic yards or fraction thereof
200,001 cubic yards or more.......... $170.00 for
the first 200,000 cubic yards plus
$2.50 for each additional 10,000
cubic yards or fraction thereof
No additional fee shall be paid for checking corrections
required on the plans by the Public Works Director.
Section 2. For structures in connection with grading and
plan checking with respect thereto:

When
plans are required for the proposed structure,
an
additional fee
for plan checking shall be paid at the time of
submitting the
application. Said plan checking fee
shall be equal
to one -half (1/2) of the fee heretofore established
in this
section.
. No additional fee shall be paid for checking
corrections
required on the plans.

The City Council further resolves and orders that
Resolution No. 5757 is hereby rescinded.
ADOPTED this 10th day of June, 1974.
