RESOLUTION NO. $270
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING AN ALLOWANCE OF
ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS PER MONTH TO THE MAYOR
IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 404 OF THE CHARTER
WHEREAS, Section 404 of the City Charter provides
that the City Council may by resolution provide for the
payment to the Mayor of an allowance not to exceed $100 per
month, in addition to the payment authorized for expenses in
Section 402, to reimburse him for the additional demands made
upon him and expenses incurred by him in serving as Mayor; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of allowing such
payment to the Mayor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the Mayor of said City be
allowed the sum of $100 per month during his term as Mayor,
beginning May 13, 1974, to reimburse him for the additional
demands made upon him and expenses incurred by him in serving
as Mayor.
