RESOLUTION NO. 8467
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
IMPROVEMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH A BICYCLE
TRAIL - COAST HIGHWAY FROM NEWPORT BOULEVARD
TO RIVERSIDE AVENUE, CONTRACT NO. 1695
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for
improvements in connection with a bicycle trail, Coast Highway
from Newport Boulevard to Riverside Avenue, in accordance with
the plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were
received on the 31st day of March, 1975, and publicly opened
and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible
bidder therefore is Lewis Paving, Inc.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the bid of Lewis Paving, Inc.
for the work in the amount of $20,200.00 be accepted, and that
the contract for the described work be awarded to said bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successfullbidder.
