RESOLUTION NO. 8500
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF DEDI-
CATION FOR PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES OF PORTIONS
OF MACARTHUR BOULEVARD BETWEEN EASTGATE DRIVE
AND PORT SUTTON WITHIN SUBDIVISION TRACT NO.
7027
WHEREAS, on November 10, 1969,. the City Council
approved a final subdivision map for Tract No. 7027, which
was recorded in Book 247 of Miscellaneous Maps, pages 16 -20,
records of Orange County; and
WHEREAS, said subdivision map contained an offer to
dedicate certain easements for public street purposes over
portions of MacArthur Boulevard and Ford Road; and
WHEREAS, at the time it approved said subdivision
map the City Council rejected said offer; and
WHEREAS, Section 66477.2 (a) of the Government Code
of the State of California provides: "If at the time the final
map is approved, any streets, paths, alleys, or storm drainage
easements are rejected, the offer of dedication shall remain
open and the legislative body may by resolution at any later
date, and without further action by the subdivider, rescind its
action and accept and open the streets, paths, alleys, or storm
drainage easements for public use, which acceptance shall be
recorded in the office of the County Recorder."
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the
public interest requires that it rescind its prior action and
accept the offer of dedication of said easement as shown upon
Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and incorporated by
reference herein;
• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach as follows:

SECTION 1. The prior action of the City Council in
rejecting the offer to dedicate said easement as shown on
Exhibit "A" is hereby rescinded and the area within said
easement is hereby accepted and dedicated for public street
• purposes.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is directed to cause this
resolution to be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder
of Orange County.
ADOPTED this 27th day of May , 1975.
