A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO
THE CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
• CONTINGUOUS TO THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AND
KNOWN AS ANNEXATION NO. 81, HARBOR VIEW
HILLS, SECTOR IV
WHEREAS, on February 13, 1975, the Local Agency Formation
Commission of Orange County approved the proposed annexation to
the City of Newport Beach of that certain territory hereinafter
described, designated as Annexation No. 81, Harbor View Hills -
Sector IV, pursuant to the application filed by the Irvine Company
as one of the owners of the territory to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, on February 13, 1975 the Local Agency Forma-
tion Commission of Orange County approved the request of the
City of Newport Beach requesting that the City Council be authorized
to annex said territory without notice and hearing pursuant to
Section 54797.1 of the Government Code, after proof having been
submitted to said Commission that all of the owners of the land
within the territory proposed to be annexed had given their written
consent to such annexation; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the necessary proceedings in
accordance with the requirements of the Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939 have been completed;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach HEREBY RESOLVES as follows:
SECTION 1. The annexation to the City of Newport Beach,
California, of that certain uninhabited territory contiguous to
said City, known as Annexation No. 81, Harbor View Hills -
Sector IV, is hereby approved; said property is more particularly
described as follows:
• That portion of Block 97 of Irvine's Subdivision
in the County of Orange, State of California, per
map filed in Book 1, page 88 of Miscellaneous
Record Maps in the office of the County Recorder
of said County, described as follows:

Beginning at an angle point in the Easterly boundary
of Annexation No. 70 to the City of Newport Beach
adopted November 23, 1970 by the City Council of said
City as Resolution No. 7311, said angle point being
the Northerly terminus of the course described as
"North 40 °11'36" West 369.92 feet" in said Resolution;
thence along said Easterly boundary, South 40 °11'36"
East 86.80 feet; thence leaving said boundary,
North 24 °46'08" East 20.00 feet; thence South 65 013'
52" East 25.00 feet; thence North 32 053106" East
69.81 feet to an angle point in the Northerly boundary
of the land described in deed to the Metropolitan
Water District of Southern California by deed recorded
in Book 7599, page 14, Official Records of said
County, said angle point being the Southerly terminus
of the course described as "North 0 034134" East
27.54 feet" in said deed; thence along said course,
North 1 009'18'! East 27.54 feet to its northerly
terminus; thence North 89 °59143" East along the
course described as "North 89 024159" East" in said
deed, 56.00 feet, thence leaving said Metropolitan
Water District boundary, the following courses and
distances:

North 11 030'17" East, 115.32 feet;
North 29 020'16" East, 157.16 feet;
North 64 003128" East, 41.15 feet;
North 20 033'22" West, 119.62 feet;

to a point in the boundary of the City of Newport Beach
as described in said Annexation No. 70, said point
being North 46 °54132" East 12.00 feet from the South-
westerly terminus of the course described as "North
46 054132" East 335.06 feet "; thence along the Southerly
and Easterly boundary of said Annexation No. 70 as

SECTION 2. The above parcel of property legally
described in Section 1 shall be subjected to taxation after annexa-
tion equally with property within the City of Newport Beach to pay

any indebtedness and liabilities of the City of Newport Beach
outstanding, contracted, authorized, or existing prior to, or
at the time of annexation.
SECTION 3. The boundaries of the City of Newport Beach,
• California, shall be, and the same are hereby altered to include
the territory described in Section 1 of this Resolution.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file
a certified copy of this Resolution with the Secretary of State.
ADOPTED this 9th day of June, 1975.
