RESOLUTION NO. 8758
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH APPOINTING THE CITY CLERK
AND FIXING THE SALARY FOR THE POSITION
WHEREAS, on February 9, 1976, the City Council
adopted Resolution No. 8699 appointing DORIS M. GEORGE as
Acting City Clerk for the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is now desirous of making
a permanent appointment to this office and fix the salary
of the City Clerk as provided by Section 600 of the Newport
Beach City Charter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that DORIS M. GEORGE
be and is hereby appointed as City Clerk of the City of Newport
Beach with all of the powers and duties as provided for in
Section 603 of the City Charter, effective May 11, 1976, at
a salary of $20,000.00 per fiscal year for full -time
employment, payable in monthly, semi - monthly or bi- weekly install-
ments as is most convenient in the ordinary course of the
preparation of the City's payroll.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 8699 is
hereby rescinded.
