RESOLUTION NO. 8940
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, REQUEST-
ING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
COUNTY OF ORANGE TO PERMIT THE COUNTY
CLERK OF SAID COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED
• SERVICES TO THE CITY RELATING TO THE CON-
DUCT OF A GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND ELECTION
TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON MARCH 8, 1977.
WHEREAS, a general obligation bond election is to be
held in the City of Newport Beach on March 8, 1977; and
WHEREAS, said election is to be consolidated with
Newport -Mesa Unified School District and Coast Community
College District elections to be held on said date; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council that the
County Clerk render specified services to the City relating
to said election; and
WHEREAS, all necessary expenses in performing this
service shall be paid by the City of Newport Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the provisions of
Section 22003 of the Elections Code of the State of California,
this City Council hereby requests the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Orange to permit the County Clerk to under-
take all matters in regard to the conduct of the election to
be held in said City on March 8, 1977, including but not
limited to, the furnishing of the voters lists, the imprint-
ing of the names and addresses of the voters of said City
on I.B.M. envelopes, inserting the documents to be mailed
into envelopes, and mailing the envelopes.
• SECTION 2.
The City shall
reimburse
said County
of
Orange for services
performed when
the work
is completed
and

upon presentation to the City Council of a properly approved
bill.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed
• to forward without delay to said Board of Supervisors of the
County of Orange, and to the County Clerk of said County, a
certified copy of this Resolution.
