HomeMy WebLinkAbout9070 - Superior Avenue WideningRESOLUTION NO. 9070 WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach is the fee owner of property presently being used by the City as a portion of the City Corporation Yard on Superior Avenue; and WHEREAS, the public interest, convenience and safety require the widening of Superior Avenue between Placentia Avenue and Industrial Way; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to dedicate to public use for public street and highway purposes a twenty foot wide strip along the east side of Superior Avenue adjacent to the City Corporation Yard to facilitate and make possible the proper widening of Superior Avenue; and WHEREAS, it is proper for the City to dedicate a portion of its property to be used for said street and highway purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach that a portion of its property, being a twenty foot wide strip along the east side of Superior Avenue, adjacent to the City Corporation Yard, be and is hereby dedicated to public use for public street and highway purposes. Said property is described on attached Exhibit "A ", incorporated herein by this reference as if fully set forth. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is authorized • and directed to cause a certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in the Official Records of Orange County, California.
