A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNATED REPRESENTA-
TIVE, TO APPEAR BEFORE THE LOCAL AGENCY
FORMATION COMMISSION OF ORANGE COUNTY ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY
WHEREAS, By -Law No. 25 of the Local Agency Formation
Commission of Orange County requires that representatives
of Cities file with the Chairman of the Commission a resolu-
tion of the legislative body of the City authorizing such
representative to appear on behalf of the City for a proposal
under consideration by the Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that
it is in the best interest of the City to authorize the City
Manager, or his designated representative, to appear before
• the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County to
represent the City's position in conjunction with annexation
applications pending before the Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the City Manager, or his
designated representative, is authorized to appear before the
Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County on behalf
of the City for annexation proposals then pending before the
Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the City Clerk will cause a
copy of this Resolution to be served on and filed with the Local
Agency Formation Commission of Orange County at 515 North
Sycamore Street, Santa Ana, California.
