THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
BEACH AUTHORIZING THE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
i AND WILLIAM DOUGLAS RUSH,
TOWING COMPANY IN
OFFICIAL POLICE TOW TRUCK
WHEREAS, on January 10, 1974, the City of Newport
Beach entered into an agreement with Owen J. Hawley, dba
Harbor Towing Company, for providing one of the official police
tow truck services; and
WHEREAS, Owen J. Hawley has sold Harbor Towing
Company to William Douglas Rush; and
WHEREAS, the Newport Beach Police Department has
recommended that the City continue to use Harbor Towing Company
as one of the official police tow truck operators; and
WHEREAS, an appropriate agreement between the City
and William Douglas Rush, dba Harbor Towing Company, has been
prepared and reviewed by the City Council, finding the terms
and conditions of said agreement to be satisfactory and that
it would be in the best interest of the City to authorize the
Mayor and City Clerk to execute said agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that said agreement above described
is approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of
Newport Beach.
