A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT TO GRIFFITH
COMPANY IN CONNECTION WITH SITE IMPROVEMENTS
FOR 16TH STREET UTILITY STORAGE YARD - PHASE
II, CONTRACT NO. 1942
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for
work in connection with site improvements for 16th Street
Utility Storage Yard - Phase II, in accordance with the
plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received
on the 8th day of December, 1977, and publicly opened and
declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible
bidder therefor is GRIFFITH COMPANY;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the bid of Griffith Company
for the work in the amount of $86,714.88 be accepted, and that
the contract for the described work be awarded to said bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on
behalf of the City of Newport Beach and that the City Clerk
be directed to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
ADOPTED this 19th day of December 1977.
