A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF
• ORANGE TO INCREASE THE AHFP ALLOCATION FOR
PROJECT NO. 881 (COAST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT)
FROM $30,000 TO $60,000
WHEREAS, on December 20, 1976, the City Council
adopted Resolution No. 8958 requesting the County to provide
$265,000 for the improvement of West Coast Highway in their
1977 -78 Arterial Highway Financing Program (AHFP); and
WHEREAS, the County has allocated $30,000 for right-
of -way acquisition and $235,000 for design and construction of
said project; and
WHEREAS, based on the latest appraisal of the property
to be acquired, the County's share of right -of -way costs needs
to be increased from $30,000 to $60,000; and
WHEREAS, the County has requested that the City adopt
a resolution requesting the increased allocation for right -of -way
for AHFP Project No. 881;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach hereby requests the County of Orange
to increase the AHFP allocation for Project No. 881 from $30,000
to $60,000.
ADOPTED this 13th day of February , 1978.
