A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHOR] :ZING THE CREATION OF
ONE BUILDING INSPECTOR II POSITION, THE ELIMI-
NATION OF ONE BUILDING INSPECTOR I POSITION,
AND THE AMENDMENT OF THE COMPENSATION PLAN AND
TABLE OF AUTHORIZATION
WHEREAS, the City Manages of the City of Newport
Beach has recommended to the City Council that one Building
Inspector II position be created and one Building Inspector
I position be eliminated; and
• WHEREAS, said changes will result in certain amend-
ments to the Compensation Plan and Table of Authorization of
Permanent Employee Classes as set forth in Resolution No. 9646
which was adopted by the City Council on October 1, 1979,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach hereby approves said recommenda-
tion and amends the Compensation Plan and Table of Authorization
of Permanent Employee Classes as follows:
1. One Building Inspector I position eliminated;
• 2. One Building Inspector II position created with
a salary range of 51.040- 55.040 ($1,450 - $1,762).
