• RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AND COUNTY OF ORANGE
FOR A LITTER CLEANUP PROGRAM
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach a juvenile work program which places
juvenile offenders, who are sentenced by the Court, into
supervised work details as a condition of their probation to
provide cleanup of litter; and
WHEREAS, the Litter Committee of the City of Newport
Beach has reviewed the proposed work program and recommended its
adoption by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the Agreement
for Litter Cleanup Program with the County of Orange and found it
to be fair and equitable,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the proposed Agreement Litter
Cleanup Program between the City of Newport Beach and County of
Orange be and it is hereby approved„ The Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement on
behalf of the City of Newport Beach„
