• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING AN INCREASE IN THE
CUSTOM INSTALLATION RATE SCHEDULE FOR LINDA
ISLE FOR COMMUNITY ANTENNA TELEVISION SERVICE
WHEREAS, on November 9, 1970, the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach adopted Resolution No. 7303 which
established the rate schedule for Community Antenna Television
Service, including custom installations, which could be charged
by Newport Beach Community Cablevisi:on, Inc., the predecessor in
interest to Teleprompter; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution prescribes the maximum custom
installation rate; and
WHEREAS, the Linda Isle Community Association has
requested that cable television antenna services be provided to
Linda Isle; and
WHEREAS, Teleprompter has determined that the cost of
basic installation of underground conduit and distribution
equipment is in excess of the basic installation rates set by
Resolution No. 7303 and requested of the City Council that the
installation rate for Linda Isle be increased to $150.00 per
single - family residential dwelling unit, due to extraordinarily
difficult installation problems on Linda Isle; and
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No.
on August 24 or 31, 1981, the City Council declared its intention
to hold a public hearing in accordance with Section 5.44.035 of
the Newport Beach Municipal Code, to consider the request of
• Teleprompter for an increase in the separate custom installation
rate for Linda Isle for community Antenna Television service; and
WHEREAS, on September 14, 1981, a public hearing was
held at which time it was determined that it was fair and
equitable, and in the best interests of the public, to grant the
above request for an increase in the installation fee;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
• the City of Newport Beach that:
1. The separate custom installation rate for Linda Isle for
cable antenna service shall be $150.00 per single - family
residential dwelling unit.
2. All other terms and conditions of Resolution No. 7303
which established the rate schedule for community
antenna television service„ not inconsistent herewith,
shall remain in full force and effect.
