A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
• OF NEWPORT BEACH REMOVING THE ALLEY BETWEEN
520 AND 522 WEST OCEAN FRONT FROM THE LIST OF
ALLEYS WHERE PARKING IS PERMITTED PURSUANT TO
SECTION 12.48.090 OF THE NEWPORT BEACH
MUNICIPAL CODE.
WHEREAS, Section 12.48.090 of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code provides that no person shall :stop, stand or park a vehicle
for any purpose other than the loading or unloading of persons or
materials in any alley except in areas the City Council has
designated by Resolution for vehicle parking; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 9502 of the City Council provided
that parking is permitted in the alley beween 520 and 522 West
Ocean Front; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Affairs Committee has reviewed a
request from both adjacent property owners and agrees that
parking should not be allowed in this alley; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to delete said
alley from the listing of alleys contained in said Resolution
No. 9502 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach that the alley between 520 and 522 West
Ocean Front is hereby deleted from the list of alleys where
parking is permitted and is deleted from Resolution No. 9502
Except as it is inconsistent herewith, said Resolution shall
remain in full force and effect.
ADOPTED this 14th day of September , 1981.
