A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING PARKING
RESTRICTIONS FOR STREET SWEEPING ON BALBOA
BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, Section 12.55.150 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides, among other things, that the City
Council shall, by Resolution, designate streets or portions of
streets on which the parking or standing of vehicles shall be
prohibited and shall incorporate into said Resolution the days of
the week and the exact time during which such prohibition shall
be in effect; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Affairs Committee has recommended
to the City Council that it would be reasonable and in the public
interest to prohibit parking of vehicles at certain times and in
certain areas of the City in order to effectively operate the
City street - sweeping program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that parking of vehicles shall be
prohibited between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. on the
following days and in the following areas, as depicted on the map
attached hereto as Exhibit "A ":
Street
Balboa Boulevard
South Side
Location
Between A and B
Streets
D_ ate'
Tuesdays
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer
shall erect all necessary signs to indicate said restricted
parking areas.
