A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF SPECIFIC IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT(S) TO THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION
AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING UNDER THE COMBINED
TRANSPORTATION FUNDING PROGRAM
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH HEREBY
RESOLVES, DETERMINES, AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City desires to implement the transportation improvements listed
below; and
WHEREAS, the City has been declared by the Orange County Transportation
Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive Measure M "turnback" funds;
and
WHEREAS, the City's Circulation Element is consistent with the County of
Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways, and
• WHEREAS, the City will provide matching funds for each project as required by
the Orange County Combined Transportation Funding Program Procedures Manual;
and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority intends to allocate
funds for transportation improvement projects within the incorporated cities and the
County; and
WHEREAS, the City will not use Measure M funds to supplant Developer Fees
or other commitments; and
WHEREAS, the City will use Arterial Highway Rehabilitation Funding as a
supplement to their existing pavement management program; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach hereby requests the Orange
County Transportation Authority allocate funds in the amount specified in the City's
application to said City from the Combined Transportation Funding Programs. Said
funds shall be matched by funds from said City as required and shall be used as
supplemental funding to aid the City in the improvement of the following street(s):

Balboa Boulevard, Medina Way to 8th Street
Balboa Boulevard, 8th Street to 12th Street
Balboa Boulevard, 16th Street to 1 9s Street
Newport Boulevard, 19st to 26nd Street
Ford Road, Jamboree Road to MacArthur Boulevard
San Miguel Drive, Ford Road to San Joaquin Hills Road
For Campus Drive, between MacArthur Boulevard to Jamboree Road, the City of
Irvine is acting as the lead agency.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL on February 22 '2000.

the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the
