A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH CONFIRMING THE LEVYING OF ASSESSMENTS FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR OF JANUARY 1, 2005 TO DECEMBER 31, 2005 FOR
THE MARINE AVENUE BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, on November 23, 2004 the Marine Avenue Business
Improvement District annual report was filed and approved by the City Council;
WHEREAS, on December 14, 2004 the City Council adopted and
published a Resolution of Intention declaring the intention to levy assessments
for the Marine Avenue Business Improvement District for the fiscal year 2005;
and
WHEREAS, a public hearing regarding the renewal of the Marine
Avenue Business Improvement District was held on December 14, 2004 without
a protest of majority.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
hereby confirms the levy of assessments as described in the Resolution of
Intention, Resolution No. 2004 -91, for the Marine Avenue Business Improvement
District for the fiscal year 2005.
This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach at a
regular meeting held on the 14th day of December 2004.

I, LaVonne M. Harkless, City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council is seven; that the foregoing
resolution, being Resolution No. 2004 -98 was duly and regularly introduced before and adopted by
the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the
14th day of December, 2004, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote, to
wit:
Ayes: Heffernan, Rosansky, Webb, Ridgeway, Daigle, Nichols, Mayor Bromberg
Noes: None
Absent: None
Abstain: None
