A RESOLUTION OF THE NEWPORT BEACH CITY COUNCIL
EXPANDING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE
CITY CENTENNIAL 2006 COMMITTEE
AND REVISING THE APPOINTMENT PROCEDURE
WHEREAS, Resolution 2004 -11 stated that the Committee shall consist of three Council
Members appointed by the Mayor and those community member positions recommended to
Council and approved by Council to ensure that the centennial planning and celebrations
are created and supported by the community;
WHEREAS, Resolution 2004 -24 stated that that the committee will include the Directors
of the Recreation & Senior Services Department and the Library Services Department; a
member from the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce, the Newport Beach Conference &
Visitors Bureau, the Nautical Museum, and seven citizens.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council appoint two additional
members and allow the Committee to add members as needed by a vote of the City
Centennial 2006 Steering Committee.

resolution, being Resolution No. 2005 -32 was duly and regularly introduced before and adopted by
the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the
14th day of June 2005, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote, to wit:
