Dear Commissioners:
Correspondence
Item No. 3c
Back Bay Landing
PA2011 -216
I am writing to you with regard to Item No. 3 on your December 19, 2013 Agenda concerning an
application by the owners of the property at Bayside and PCH for amendments to the General Plan and
the Coastal Land Use Plan to allow for a mixed use development know as Back Bay Landing. Recently, I
met with the owner's representatives to discuss the project and what it means for the area, the business
community and the City of Newport Beach.
This property has existed in an underutilized state for decades and I believe that the proposed
development is just the type of project we need at this key City intersection. It will provide for dining
and commercial opportunities for residents, provide much needed boat storage space and, provide a
place for people to live in close proximity to the Upper Bay and Newport Harbor. I hope you will give
this project your utmost consideration and allow the property owner to move forward with this very
desirable project.
Wi Warm t Regards,
Steven Rosansky
