A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AMENDING THE NORTH FORD PLANNED COMMUNITY DISTRICT REGULATIONS
SO AS TO MAKE VARIOUS CHANGES TO THE PLANNED COMMUNITY
• DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS FOR RESIDENTIAL AREA NO. 5
(Planning Commission Amendment No. 631)
WHEREAS, Section 20.51.045 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code
provides that final amendments to a Planned Community Development Plan must be
approved by a Resolution of the City Council, setting forth full particulars of
the amendment; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on March
20, 1986, at which time it considered a certain amendment to the Planned
Community District Regulations for the North Ford Planned Community so as to
delete provisions for shared driveways on substandard lots; increase the
minimum lot size from 2,400 sq.ft. to 3,000 sq.ft.; establish a minimum average
lot width of 55 feet; revise the garage setback requirements; establish permit-
ted locations for guest parking; and increase the maximum height for open
trellis and beam construction within the required side yard setbacks from eight
feet to nine feet; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing the Planning' Commission adopted a
Resolution recommending to the City Council that a certain amendment to the
Planned Community District Regulations for the North Ford Planned Community
Development, as set forth in the Planning Commission minutes of the March 20,
1986 meeting, be adopted; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that said amendment to
10 the Planned Community District Regulations for the North Ford Planned Commun-
ity, as set forth in the Planning Commission minutes of the March 20, 1986
meeting, is desirable and necessary; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has conducted a public hearing on
the proposed amendment in accordance with all provisions of the law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach hereby approves the proposed amendment to the Planned Community
District Regulations for the North Ford Planned Community Development, as
reflected in the Planning Commission minutes of the March 20, 1986 meeting.
