RESOLUTION No. 87 -13
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A CITY COUNCIL AD HOC
COMMITTEE TO RE- EVALUATE NEWPORT CENTER
WHEREAS, the expansion of Newport Center and attendant
mitigating improvements continues to be a concern of the Newport
Beach City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes it to be in the
best interests of the City to form a City Council Ad Hoc Com-
mittee for the purpose of re- evaluating a Newport Center Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach does hereby establish the City
Council Ad Hoc Committee for the re- evaluation of Newport
Center.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Committee shall have
the following responsibilities and characteristics:
1. The membership shall consist of the Mayor
and one member of the City Council
appointed by the Mayor.
2. The term of the Committee shall be until
July, 1987, or whenever a report is sub-
mitted to the City Council fulfilling the
goals and responsibilities of said Committee,
whichever occurs first.
3. The Committee shall be staffed as requested
by the Mayor.
4. The Committee shall meet as requested by
the Mayor.
S. The responsibility of the Committee will be
to formulate alternate courses of action
available to the City Council concerning the
build -out of Newport Center with attendant
mitigation improvements.
