HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-79 - City Manager-City Attorney-City Clerk Salaries0 RESOLUTION NO. 87 -79 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES OF THE CITY MANAGER, CITY ATTORNEY AND CITY CLERK FOR THE 1987 -88 FISCAL YEAR. AND AMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN TO REFLECT SAID CHANGES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach has the authority, under the Newport Beach City Charter, to establish salaries of the City Manager, City Attorney and City Clerk; and WHEREAS, the City Council has evaluated the performance of the City Manager, the City Attorney and City Clerk during the previous fiscal year; and WHEREAS, based upon that evaluation and consideration of the duties performed by each, the City Council finds that the salaries established by this resolution are fair and appropriate. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Newport Beach hereby establishes that, effective July 49 1987, the total compensation of the City Manager, the City Attorney and the City Clerk shall be increased above current amounts by 7 %, 8% and 6% respectively for the 1987 -1988 fiscal year; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Classification and Compensation Plan be amended to reflect said changes.
