A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING CITY PARTICIPATION IN THE
INTERMODAL SURFACE TRANSPORTATION EFFICIENCY ACT
(ISTEA) PROGRAM AND EXECUTING AGREEMENTS WITH THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
• WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has applied for funding for
eligible projects pursuant to the Intermodal Surface Transportation
•
Efficiency Act (ISTEA) Program; and
WHEREAS, approval of a Master Agreement is a prerequisite to
participation in the State -Local Partnership Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and desires to approve
the Master Agreement between the State of California and the City
of Newport Beach, and to authorize the execution of any other
document necessary to obtain funding for eligible projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach as follows:
1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute
Service Agreement Number 12LA119 and Program Supplement Number 008
to Local Agency -State Agreement for Federal -Aid Project Number 12-
5151 authorizing City participation in the State -Local Program;
2. The Mayor, City Clerk or other appropriate City employee
are hereby authorized to execute and document necessary or
appropriate to apply for, or receive, funding pursuant to the
State -Local Program.
