A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ADJUSTING VARIOUS ZONING
AND SUBDIVISION FEES, AND ESTABLISHING FEES
FOR ZONING PLAN CHECK, DEVELOPMENT
AGREEMENTS, VESTING TENTATIVE TRACT MAPS,
AND GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENTS, AS WELL AS
ADOPTING A PENALTY PERMIT FEE
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has a fee schedule for the imposition of various
Zoning and Subdivision Fees; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach fee schedule has not been adjusted for three
years; and
WHEREAS, the recovery of costs associated with the provision of permit services is
authorized by State law; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Department has prepared a complete cost recovery analysis for
permit services which is the basis for these fee adjustments, and the establishment of specified new
fees; and
WHEREAS, the fee adjustments have been considered by the City Council Budget
Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach, that Zoning and Subdivision Fees be adjusted as indicated in the schedule attached as
"Exhibit A ".
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council shall reverve the right to waive the
fee for a Development Agreement, if project which is the subject of the agreement provides
significant public benefits to the community which would not otherwise occur through a normal
project approval.
