Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND)
Mitigation Monitoring & Reporting Program (MMRP)
➢ MND prepared by Chambers Group, Inc.
➢ No significant environmental impacts
➢ Mitigation measures required related to Cultural Resources,
Geology /Soils, Hazards /Hazardous Materials, and Noise.
➢ Public comment periods: 6/26/14 - 7/8/14 and 8/29/14 — 10/2/14
➢ Seven comment letters received and responses prepared
➢ All impacts less than significant, no significant
new information to warrant recirculation
➢ Adoption of the MND and MMRP recommended
Mitigation Measures
➢ Qualified Archaeologist or Paleontologist monitoring
➢ Incorporate the recommendations of the geotechnical
investigation
➢ Dewatering and shoring recommendations
➢ Engineering monitoring
➢ Hazardous materials testing for demolition materials and soils
including all appropriate cleanup (if necessary)
➢ Maintain typical construction hours and
install a 6 -foot high noise wall at abutting residence
PROJECT SCHEDULE
• Complete Environmental Documentation — Oct. 2014
• Coastal Permitting — Nov. 2014 to Sept. 2015
• Complete Final Design — Oct. 2015 (Dependent on Coastal
Development Permit)
• Award Construction Contract — Dec. 2015
• Construction —Jan. 2015 to Sept. 2016
