Re: Celebrating 80 Years of Library Service
This year 2000, the Newport Beach Public Library is celebrating 80 years
of service to the community. This 80 -year history is highlighted on the
attached outline.
To honor this 80th Anniversary, Patrick Bartolic, Chair of the Board of
Library Trustees, with assistance from library customers, will present to
the City Council two oversized birthday cards — one with thank you
notes from adult library customers; and the second, from the children of
the community.
The cards have been available in the libraries in the past weeks so that
customers could write notes and /or read comments from their neighbors
and friends.
