SUBJECT: DONATION OF SURPLUS PROPERTY
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the donation of the property listed below to Share Our Selves Corporation and
direct staff to arrange for the property to be made available for pick -up at their
convenience.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
In accordance with Council Policy F -11 Acquisition, Custody, and Disposal Of
Controlled Property, any donation made by the City must be approved by the City
Council and whenever possible, local charities and homeowners apsociations will be
given first choice.
BACKGROUND:
Last month, the City Manager received a letter from Karen Harrington, the Director of
Development for Share Our Selves Corporation located at 1550 Superior Avenue in
Costa Mesa. In the letter, Ms. Harrington requested a donation of miscellaneous
surplus computer equipment and office furniture. As directed by the City Manager, staff
met with representatives from Share Our Selves and developed the following list of
surplus property items. Based on prior auction results, staff estimates the value of the
surplus property to be approximately $750.

3 ViewSonic 15GS Monitors
1 black 5- drawer Steelcase file cabinet
1 tape storage cabinet
2 APC Battery Backup UPS units
1 Hewlett Packard Printer
2 Pioneer CD ROM Changers
6 blue chairs from council chambers
2 office chairs with bright fabric - 1 with
rollers
2 gray Steelcase chairs
