Freeman 219 Via Lido Soud Newport Beach, CA 92663 Dear Mr. Freeman: As part of the Harbor Permit process, the Marine Department is required to make a 'final inspection of the structure, once built. Your particular pier and float were inspected on August 17, 1979. At that time it was noted that the structure did not conform to the drawing submitted.by the applicant, and approved by the Marine Department on August 2, 1978. (See drawing attached) Specifically, the pier platform does not have the minimum two foot clearance from the bulkhead as called for on the plan drawing and required by the Marine Department. To bring the pier platform into compliance, it must be moved a minimum of two feet from the bulkhead. If this is not done, it could be deemed grounds for removal of.the permit and then the structure itself. If you have any questions in this regard, please call -640-2156.
