Dear Bill:
The Marine Division will require a drawing of the current
structure bayward from 218 Via Lido Nord. The drawing must follow
the guidelines on the attached form numbers 1-4. Once the drawing
has been submitted, along with the signed transfer card, and the
structure re -inspected to verify that the anti -syphon device is
connected to the property's water supply, the permit can be
transferred.

Sir:
The City of Newport Beach Marine Department has received a request
to inspect pier located at 218 Via Lido Nord. The facility was
inspected on June 12, 1995.
We cannot transfer the pier permit until the following deficiency
has/have been corrected and WE HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE
CORRECTION:
1. A City -approved anti -syphon device is required at the water
connection for the water supply �o the pier and float. A sketch
showing the approved type of device and its installation is
enclosed. The device presently on the water service is no longer
an approved backflow prevention device. This requirement is in
accordance with Title 17 of the California Administrative Code.
2. The inspection revealed that the dock has been revised and it
has dimensions different from the ones on the orivinal peff lit
drawing. Therefore, the Marine Department must receive as b t
plans for the existing dock, specifying the materials used, and a
drawing of the permit area, as specified in the instructions
contained in the Harbor Permit Application.
The Newport Beach City Council Harbor Permit Policies state:
10.D. ,At the time of transfer, all harbor structures
shall be inspected for compliance with the City, s minimum
plumbing, electrical and structural requirements, and the
conditions of the existing permit. All structural
deficiencies must be corrected prior to transfer of the
permit.

Dear Sir:

with Section 10-D of the Harbor Permit Policies', it canno, I t be
transferred until it meets City requirements. The poliny states:

electrical and structural requirements, and the conditions of
the existing permit. All structural deficiencies must be
corrected prior to transfer of the permit."
We cannot transfer the permit until the following deficiencies
have been corrected and we have been notified of the correction:
