This permit is issued once all the necessary approvals have been obtained by the applicant. A field inspection revealed that work to your pier and dock has been completed prior to the issuance of the above mentioned permit, therefore you are in violation of the section 17 of the Municipal Code. In addition, this field inspection found an additional violation of the above mentioned code. A section of dock has been placed in your permit area that is not in conformance with the dimensions on the drawing submitted to this department and this additional structure is on the east property line over the required 5' setback. And finally there is a vessel berthed along the east boundary of the dock that extends over the property line and into the permit area of 1124 E. Balboa in violation of the Harbor Permit policies. In checking it against our Harbor Permit files we have found that the permit is still registered to L.R. Pl.avan. According to Title 17.24.030 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code, a transfer of the harbor permit must be accomplished. The enclosed material describes the transfer of pier permits. The fee for the transfer, as established by City Council, is $165.00. The fee of $10 for the annual billing is also due.
